"Alpine Airport"

Limited Edition Print

$0.00

In 2026 I discovered a unique and amazing place: the tiny town of Alpine, Arizona. Nestled at 8,050 feet in the White Mountains, it is an idyllic and breathtaking place. You might recognize the White Mountains as where a logger named Travis Walton said he and his crew came upon an alien craft late into one night, and he was abducted. Walton was found days later, disoriented in a phone booth in the town of Heber, just down from Alpine. Alpine doesn't have an airport, so I imagined one. The time is the past. A Douglas DC-3 airliner sits in the snowy twilight awaiting passengers. A man and his loyal dog wait to board; their luggage on a cart next to them. They are bathed in the warm glow of the old, wooden terminal building. It's a fantasy really. A mix of the real and imagined. My own version of "Willoughby" from the great "Twilight Zone" series. But a much happier ending.
