In 1961, Barney and Betty Hill - a postal worker and a social worker, respectively- drove home through the remote New Hampshire mountains late one night after a vacation in Niagara Falls. Around 10;30 PM, they both saw odd lights in the dark sky over U.S. Route 3. The lights came closer to their car; enough so that it forced them to pull over and stop. Both Barney and Betty said it was some type of flying saucer. They reported blacking out as the craft approached them, emitting strange vibrations. They woke up, hours later, still in their car, and the saucer was gone. After the encounter, they had nightmares and started recovering memories of being examined medically by alien beings. It was the first alien abduction case in the United States, and became known as the "Hill Abduction." . This is my version of what happened that fateful night. This painting was displayed as part of a UFO exhibit in 2021.
