Oil paint on canvas, 18x24 inches. This was an early painting. I hadn't quite settled on how I would sign my paintings, and I wasn't quite sure about the composition. This painting came about as a memory. I had the unique opportunity to fly in the backcountry in Wyoming with a great group of pilots, out of Alpine, WY. It was an amazing experience, and the sights we saw are unsurpassed. Here, a happy little yellow Cub is about to land on a mountain lake for some exploration and a quick rest. We saw many sights just like this one. It was a true privilege to fly there.
