Painted for a close friend. If you're a pilot, you've surely heard of the airport on Catalina Island off the Coast of Southern California. It's infamous for several reasons: its short, "carrier-style" runway on top of a cliff, treacherous winds, a humped runway, and a beautiful art deco terminal building. This is my friend's gorgeous Cessna 150 Aerobat, winging its way off of the "Airport in the Sky" as it's called, with the 1920's terminal building in the background on a typical, blue, Southern California day.
